From Oulu we drove to Tornio - a small town on the border between Finland and Sweden. Accidentally we crossed the border - took a wrong turn and ended up in Sweden. After realising the mistake we finally took the right road 21 north and followed it for several hundred kilometers. This road goes along the river Torniojoki that serves as a natural border between two countries, so quite often we saw road signs "Ruotsi" ("Sweden").
We stopped on the Polar Circle for dinner. It was a classical northern food - mashed potatoes, reindeer meat with cranberry jam and kotikalja (home made beer).
