Ocean, mountains, bridges, tunnels, roads, roads, roads. Great views are not so exciting anymore. We're just getting used to all this beauty. And that means it is soon time for us to leave.
In the morning we visited Polaria in Tromsø. A very nice museum and aquarium with seals and all kinds of Arctic fish. They also have an authentic real hunting ship from 1940s.
While we were in there we got fined for illegal parking. That's already a good traditon - every time when I'm in Norway, I'm getting parking tickets. The only country in the world where I'm getting parking tickets.
About noon we started our long drive to a place named Å on Lofoten islands.
We stopped somewhere near Narvik to have a swim (or rather a dip) in salty waters of the Arctic ocean.
Weather is perfect. Even though we still are quite far north, temperatures are rising up to +28 degrees during the day. Water was still quite cold though, but it didn't stop numerous norwegians from enjoying the sun on the beach and swim in ocean waters.
Driving to Å took the rest of the day. We arrived to the cabin we booked only after midnight.
We are staying in Å Rorbua fishermen's cabins. Our host is a really nice man and he told us that he lived in Tampere for three years.
Late night or an early morning, dependr on how you define 3 o'clock in the morning. And here we are, in a small village on the end of the world, drinking champagne and watching sunrise on the peer, Arctic ocean at our feet.
