Well. That was it. We had our last sauna and cleaned the cottage. Seven days in this God forsaken place. We kinda grew to like it here. It will be a pity to leave tomorrow. But we'll have to. Just got an sms from Alex - he's already on the train to Kolari. 10:30 tomorrow morning we'll meet to start the second part of our journey.
One week in the wilderness. You learn to appreciate small things. We are so much used to civilisation. How do you usually start your morning? Go to a warm bathroom, then open a tap in the kitchen, put the kettle on to make some tea or coffee, put on the tv and watch the morning news from BBC, CNN or Euronews. It is quite different here. And that's the beauty of it. We still have internet and voice connection here, thanks to Nokia, but it is quite hard to imagine life without communication anyway, so I suppose it is ok :)
That's it for today. We're leaving into unknown tomorrow. We'd better have an early night.
